Lying on the eastern side of the Peace Bridge, Ebrigton is a military site dating as far back as to The Siege of Derry, when it was occupied by Jacobite forces. Throughout the years the square transformed into barracks and a “Star Ford”, playing a significant role during both World Wars and the Battle of the Atlantic.

In the span of the last few years the square has been rearranged and is now functioning as an army heritage location. Old buildings and the square have been transformed into a multi-purpose venue, which is becoming the cultural hub of the city. Diverse events happening throughout the year, such as Jazz Concerts and the great Derry Halloween, make this place really shine with life.

Apart from all that, Ebrington allows its visitors to observe the beauty of the city on the other side of the river, discover renewed historical buildings like the Clock Tower or Army Hospital and take a picture with the famous International Sailor Statue.
