If you look for a calm and unspoilt location in Derry, St Columb’s Park is definitely the best choice. This verdant picturesque place surrounded by woods and situated on the eastern side of the River Foyle is a perfect venue for walking and relaxation. 

The premises of the park incorporate many facilities and places of interest, such as:

A leisure, sport and events centre situated near the entrance of the park. Its premises include amenities such as swimming pool, fitness suite, multi-sport halls, climbing wall, conference spaces and much more.

A reconciliation centre dating back to 1994 and lying in the heart of the park, which provides a space for learning and pursuing different forms of peaceful activism. It is additionally known for being a meeting place of local communities and organizations.

A small bistro allowing park’s visitors to enjoy  homemade breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or a  pleasant drink. Sunday afternoons, between 12:30 and 15:00, the cafe also offers its famed mouth-watering carvery.

A small recreation area available for all playful children.

The ruins of the only surviving medieval church in the region, which is said to have belonged to the archbishop of Armagh. Dating back to the 12th century, the structure is one of the very few remains of St Brecan’s cult.

Ireland’s first permanent disc golf installation. Unlike regular golf, this sport uses discs, which have to be thrown into the baskets. Anyone in the park can play it for free by renting discs through St Columb’s Park House.
