About 1km northwest of Londonderry’s centre lies a peaceful and lush place called The Brooke Park. Dating back to 1901, to this day the leisure centre offers a recreational green space to the citizens of The Walled City and provides them with amenities such as squash and tennis courts, football pitches, steam room and a space for playing a sport known as lawn bowls.

Gwyn’s Cafe & Pavilion is also a part of the park, creating a fine atmosphere of comfort among the visitors and offering a relaxing meal and an astonishing view of both the park and the city.
